Initiative for Progressive Action Nepal (IPAN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2021 in Dhankuta, Nepal, with a commitment to creating positive and lasting change in communities through innovative, inclusive, and result-oriented development initiatives. IPAN envisions an equitable and prosperous society where every individual, especially children and marginalized groups, has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to sustainable community development.

Officially registered with the Office of the Company Registrar, Kathmandu, Nepal (Registration No. 276041/078/79) and the Inland Revenue Office, Kathmandu (PAN No. 610137059), IPAN works as a trusted development partner for local governments, development agencies, civil society organizations, and communities.

At the heart of our work is the belief that meaningful community transformation occurs when local people are empowered to identify challenges, lead solutions, and drive sustainable progress. Through technical assistance, consultancy services, capacity strengthening, research, and community-based development interventions, IPAN supports communities in building resilience, improving learning opportunities, strengthening local governance, and promoting social equity.
